5 Fall 2012 Fashion Week Looks I Love

Fashion Week is in full swing, lovely readers. Are you keeping up with all the shows debuting everyday?
Well, if youve been falling behind, have no fear! Ive zeroed in on several amazing looks from the Fall 2012 shows that I think you should know about. Keep them in mind for next fall/winter, or start incorporating them into your wardrobe right now. Either method would be appropriate. Preferably both!
Black and White at 3.1 Phillip Lim. I talk a lot about how we should be infusing color into our looks. And we should. We really should. But sometimes I just want to wear black and white, because I want to feel downright chic.
Men’s Fashion Trends from Men’s Fashion Week A/W 2012
With Paris and Milan Mens Fashion Week come and gone, its the perfect time to take a step back and review this seasons trends on the menswear runways. Overall, the economic gloom took European designers back to safe haven traditional looks with classic tailoring and business suits, overcoats and leather patent shoes flooded the runway. But aside from the return to classics, we saw creative touches with the layering, colour and accessories.
Trend One: Statement Outwear
If there was one key trend that took fashion week by storm, it would be statement outwear.
André Leon Talley’s One-of-a-Kind Couture Gowns Exhibition

The latest and hottest new town to hit the fashion map is Savannah, Georgia and fashionistaʼs from everywhere are flocking to the SCAD Museum to experience the all the fashion forward southern charm that this city has to offer. Designed in an old, abandoned, antebellum railroad station from 1850, the newly renovated Savannah College of Art and Design Museum is far from the usual. The exciting, and impressively modern space boasts galleries, classrooms, a 250-seat theater, and a 12-foot-long orientation touch pad. However, these innovative additions are not the reason why fashionistas from all over are lining up to get a taste of the museum. Everyone
classic irish manor wedding

We were so SO excited to receive this gorgeous wedding submission from Solas Weddings. (Its just the thing to tide you over through the holidays!) Jacqueline and Ricky’s classic Irish manor wedding celebration was a beautiful juxtaposition of modern glamour and natural splendor. The sensuous palette of fallen fruit, centuries old stone, and good old fashioned revelry (not to mention that adorable tiny Spider Man) makes this easily one of our favorite weddings of 2011 The bride looked absolutely exquisite in her lace illusion neckline Ciara Bridal gown, which she tastefully paired with a white fur stole and birdcage veil by Stacey Hannan Designs for a lavish dose of vintage glam.

Jacky’s lovely ‘maids each wore a different gown, which made for one very chic bridal party. We love a
Models to the rescue: Boca Raton’s Heide Lindgren leads efforts to build water wells in Africa
Model Heide Lindgren from Boca Raton had already made a name for herself moving to New York when she was 19 and landing career-making campaigns for Guess? By Marciano and Abercrombie & Fitch.
But now she is becoming known outside of the fashion world for helping to spearhead an effort to build sustainable water wells for clean drinking water and bring hygiene products to poverty-stricken Burkina Faso through a charity called Models 4 Water. Lindgren co-founded the effort with her friend and fellow model Georgie Badiel, who is from the African country.
Water is the most basic thing, said Lindgren on holiday break here in South Florida visiting her family.
Trend Spotlight: Ankle Boots

One of my favorite trends to emerge and really pick up steam the past few years? Ankle boots. They are my go-tos for a little sophistication, when I need something chicer than a flat, tall boot, and trendier than a classic, tall heel.
For a huge boot lovah like myself, its great to see designers embrace the short-n-sweet trend to give us loads of options this season. There is a heeled bootie for every type of girl, and I have four excellent styles to wear during the winter months to glam up your outfit. Here are my picks for must-haves. Which will you wear?
For the practical girl KORS Michael Kors Divina Desert Bootie, $150. Black.
